WHERE TO DISPOSE OF SOLID WASTE
Landfills
The following public landfills hold approved permits for waste disposal. Landfill class is summarized as follows:
Class I – Non-hazardous solid waste routinely generated by households, offices, stores, businesses, restaurants, etc.
Class IV – Non-hazardous large, bulky, non-liquid wastes that do not degrade or that degrade very slowly, including construction and demolition wastes, appliances, furniture and other bulky wastes that are not normally collected with other household or commercial waste. (It is recommended that all metals be recycled and not landfilled.)
Class III-T – Waste tire disposal.
